Being a Scholar
Before I start, the scope of our topic today covers this definition of scholars: Anyone who receives any financial aid from other sources other than their parents to pursue their studies. Zankyu~~ :)
Living abroad for only about 4 months now is already enough to prove how fortunate it is to be a sponsored student. I mean, look at how lucky we are to have been sponsored that we can buy this and that, travel here and there. BUT one thing that bothers me most is those people who spendtheir money their sponsor's money recklessly without even considering whether they really deserve it or not. Phones, laptops are maybe a need. . . But, c'mon guys, buying extra phones, PSP, other game consoles, a 24-inch TV, and gadgets are not really a necessity for now (I'm talking bout as students). . . =w=

Raising Our So Called Voices!
Assalamualaikum! :)
"Freedom of speech" is something BIG nowadays. People keep on wanting it, urging for their so called human rights etc. . . But what's really happening is that, TOO many people urging this whole freedom of speech actually causes it to be something not so new anymore. :/ In fact, if you ask me, I'm actually quite tired of hearing all these nonsensical stuffs about the rights of raising our voices. It's not that I'm totally against it, I mean, there are at some points we need to make our voices heard (i.e world hunger, human trafficking, child abuse, civil wars) , but the whole idea of having freedom of speech becomes like a trend now rather than as a tool to really fight for a noble cause. I mean, look at us now, we're fighting for things that are not worth our time (i.e LGBT, homosexual marriage, censorship of information, etc). Everything has its pros and cons (Y). But it becomes more and more complicated at the end of the day as people demand more and more things to be liberalized. Wow! What about that~! So I'm guessing this is what the Malays usually say "dah bagi betis, nak paha". . . The more we get, the more we demand. We can never be satisfied with what we've gotten. *sigh~
So before I start, the general idea of freedom of speech based on Wikipedia is basically . . .
"the political right to communicate one's opinions and ideas. The term freedom of expression is sometimes used synonymously, but includes any act of seeking, receiving and imparting information or ideas, regardless of the medium used. In practice, the right to freedom of speech is not absolute in any country and the right is commonly subject to limitations, as with libel, slander, obscenity, sedition (including, for example inciting ethnic hatred), copyright violation, revelation of information that is classified or otherwise"

Gender Inequality
To start, perempuan zaman sekarang should be really really thankful that they were not born in the past where men and the whole society were extremely biased towards men. So extreme that masa zaman Arab Jahiliah, kalau perempuan lahirkan anak perempuan, ditanamnya hidup hidup budak tu!! In India, a daugher = a hell of a burden sebab they are expensive to raise and have to pay an expensive dowry during weddings. The list goes on and on. . . . .
But is there still inequality around us?? YESS!! And I have to say, both sides are experiencing it. . .
