R.A.C.I.S.M? :O

Really interesting story. A few friends of mine bumped into this one racist guy in the bus who immediately spoke bout Islam loudly in public and how Muslims are terrorists, and yatta22. They didn't even get to sit in the bus yet, and the old guy had opened his mouth and blabbed bout Islam.

Funny thing is that, the guy did not speak directly to them, but instead he spoke loudly with his acquaintance so that the whole bus can hear their conversation. Wow that's a something ayy? But anyways, based on how it happened, the guy started it by saying the Muslims here are immigrants; "What are they doing here in our country?!" sort of rant. He continued saying that that Islam's "Christmas" is called "Eid Mubarak" in Saudi Arabia. And his friend went "Ouh, so why don't we call Christmas, Eid Mubarak too?". The other guy went "NO we can't because this is a CHRISTIAN country". Ouch, somebody pinch me. I just knew that Canada is a Christian country..:O LOL.xD Irony ayy? I don't really see it being truly Christian when they actually allow homosexual marriage here. Oh well.



Then the bus hit a bumper or something, and they switched the conversation to "turbulence" indicating of how the hijackers in flights have always been the Muslim people a.k.a the terrorists. The thing is my friends were just sitting right across his spot and he purposely did that to offend them. Luckily my friends were smart enough to not show any expressions or even bother what he said. They just gave him the gawk I guess. I mean, if I was there, I'd probably be responding to him by saying "You do not know anything about Islam and yet you are talking ignorantly about it". But OBVIOUSLY that could lead up to a huge fight in the public bus and that could cause more than our image in the Western country.

So I guess the trick is, when things like this happen; is not to flinch easily when people do bad things to you. I mean, that's exactly what they would expect from you and they do want you to get pissed and go all mad so that they can prove that they're right. So yeah . . . The best thing would probably be to pray for that guy so that one day he knows how wrong he was about Islam.

Saddening ayy? Of how badly Islam is misunderstood by the world? Yeah. And so believe it or not, it's our responsibility especially as Muslims in the foreign countries to change that perspective of theirs. Wouldn't you agree? >,O
