SCIENCE22. . . Haven't touched my Art stuff for ages. . . *Sigh*

Well, here's a thing about me. My passion started with colouring when I was in kindergarten. . . Then it evolved into drawing when I was in standard 1. It started with cartoons. . . I can still remember the cartoons I drew. . . Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny. . . All those Cartoon Network cartoon shows that I like. Started sketching people's faces when I was in Standard 2. I will randomly sketch people while waiting for the exam to be over. And those faces were sleeping faces, daydreaming faces, etc. xD Then in Standard 3, I formed  a group with two of my bestfriends. . Anna and Nadiah. Our book was a roleplay sorta book in dialogue form and we'd imagine ourselves to be the personas in the book in which we named Girl Power Book (GPB). Us dynamic trios were awesome, the book even had a lock code thingy on it so no one could read it, and it was only us who knew the code *Although the code was actually 0-0-0, but still! It's considered cool ya noe~~xDD *

Then, in 2003, Nadiah, a friend of ours moved to Kuantan. :'( No more triple amigas. We were devastated. But Anna and I continued the book up until we were standard 5 I think. But it so happened that we got into a huge friendship fight during that year, that all of a sudden everything stopped. But even then, we still keep the book until now *Only that, I forgot where I put it. lol. xD*. Early in our final year of primary school, Anna and I made up. It was not until the Merdeka day that we came up with the sickest plan ever! We made a random comic strip about Fairuz in our "Buku Catatan" SIGS. And the caricature lived! HAHAH.

"VOILA~ Our new comic!"we thought. And the thing is about this time's comic, it's all based on real live characters namely, our classmates! xDD Man we were the class clowns!! Our group consisted of 5 people, Anna and I as the cartoonists, and Azri, Farah and Fairuz as the faithful readers. HAHA. We were sooo sneakyyy. . . No one else (our classmates) knew about the fictional stories we made in our comic. But still, the comic did not highlight any bad things about them. Only things that are unrealistic and crazy. HAHA. Yeah, we enjoyed those days despite the fact that we had our big exam (UPSR) during that time.

Then, 2006 came, I got the chance to go to a boarding school. . So did Farah. She entered a few months after I came there. The rest were in SIGS High School. Things weren't easy at first. Gotta adapt with the new environment, friends, etc. . . Our comic, we still managed to continue a few episodes more. But that was about it. The production stopped as everyone got busy with their stuffs. And I, on that time was totally sure that I would turn out to be AN ARTIST in the future. But only time tells.

As I got deeper and deeper into the things that I study, it was in Form 4 that my dreams to go to Lim Kok Wing University and take up a double major of animation and broadcasting didn't seem that. . I dunno, relevant anymore? The last time I took my paintings seriously was when I was in Form 3. Then, gradually my skills of doing all those artsy stuffs were decreasing. And later, just as I knew, I ended up not taking what I thought I wanted before. My ambitions changed from time to time during my last two years in high school. And so, it is decided that God has something more to offer. Something I never had in mind before. . .

I am now in the Science stream. InsyaAllah will be majoring in GEOPHYSICS *the total opposite of my childhood dreams*. And looking forward to seek what's more there is in this Earth that we claim to be so called ours when in reality is actually HIS. *btw, I've been blabbing a lot about my journey of how I got here, yet I forgot to tell you guys the main point of this post @_@* Well, actually the purpose of this post is to let you guys noe that. .. . .  

I JUST MADE A PAINTING TODAY FOR AFTER LIKE 2 YEARS OF NOT DOING ANY PAINTING!! SO THAT'S ABOUT IT. I'M SUPER EXCITED COZ I ACTUALLY GOT A LOT OF THINGS TO BE DONE THIS WEEKEND, BUT THE FEELING AFTER FINISHING A SINGLE ARTWORK MADE ME FEEL SOOO ALIVE! ^O^  I MADE THIS DRAWING FOR SYAZ WHO'LL BE FLYING TO AUSSIE TO PURSUE VET. HOPE SHE LIKES IT DESPITE IT WAS A LAST MINUTE PAINTING. :3 

Tip #1: Water mixable oil!  The good thing about it is that you don't need to dissolve em using oil! A new way of oil painting using water! :D

Palette de couleurs~ :)  Tip #2: The bigger the better!

Finally! Managed to use watercolour paper. Thick enough to withstand the watery effect. Tip #3: The thicker the better~

Not so good lighting. Oh well. The background washout. Haven't decided on what to put as the foreground.

Tip #4: Adding the layers.

Yeahh. . . I'll put an owl at the front then since Syaz likes Harry Potter and adores animals. :3

Tip #5: Always test the effects on other papers first if you're unsure of the strokes

Tip #6: Putting white oil color layer as snow

Shoot! Not enough time. >< The farewell's about to start. Tip #7: Finish up the details with whatever time you have left.

Tip #8: Use gold Faber Castell Polychromos pencil to add detail on the owl's feathers.

Tip #9: Make the speech short and sweet. Put a quote perhaps.

Tip #10: Look at the owl one last time. Add more tone if needed. xD

Tip #11: Be sure that you're 100% satisfied with your drawing. Put your initials, and there ya have it! :P As simple as that! ;)

Though my skills are a bit rusty now that I had left painting for quite a while, :'( I just realized something greater beyond people's stigmas. . . Doesn't mean I'm a Science student I can't do Arts. Same goes the other way round. That's it for now folks. Hope you readers learnt a lesson or two. Always and always, try to make time to balance the two hemispheres of your brain. Doesn't always have to be painting though. Writing can be one of em too. Get what I'm sayin'? Huhu. Have a good day y'all. ;)
