Here's a vid for starters. . . :) aww. . . I miss lil Canada in Malaysia! >,<
Things I like about Canada :
1. Its drivers. They are damn considerate I tell ya. Sometimes I feel guilty for not walking fast enough to cross the road, and they'll be like in a "take your time22, we'll wait for ya :3 " kinda way. . Trust me, if it's in Malaysia, there'll be honking all over the place. xD
2. Public transport. It's not about the efficiency, but the TRUST the Government gives to their citizens. In which, for instance the Skytrain, there's no like automated gate or whatsoever that requires you to insert tokens or cards in. . Those who have no tickets will know on their own that they have to buy one and shall purchase them from the machines. Then what happens? -Nothing. You just simply enter the train. No guards, no nothing. And if you're lucky, you'll bump into one of the securities who'll ask you to show your tickets in which, the probability of it happening is really22 low.
3. The outdoor. :) The sky I tell ya is like when you're gazing the sky from a jungle, away from the vast cities; with no light pollution. Perhaps it's because I'm in Vancouver (near the sea), so we can see many stars at night despite the fact that we live near the city. But like seriously, I'm gonna bring my telescope to Canada next year. This is not an opportunity to be missed! 8D STARGAZING THE STARRY NIGHT DOES MAKE YOU FEEL LESS HOMESICK COZ YOU KNOW THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE ARE STARING AT THE VERY SAME SKY AS YOU ARE.
4. Sustainability. It's all about saving the energy. "REIMAGINING ENERGY" -Petronas *wah! dah boleh kerja Petronas ni. LOL! xD * Don't know about others' unis, but my university is very22 concerned about the environment. We got lots of programs that have to do with saving energy, even in our dormitories! We have this one program called "Do it in the dark" where we minimize the lights usage in public spaces, and have some sort of "Earth Hour" moments in our residence. Even some of the buses here use electricity to mobile. They'll have these huge cables and wires on top of em but they don't operate like trams. They'll still have drivers, only that they do not emit greenhouse gases *PEACE YAW!* :3 hee.
Things I like about Malaysia :
1. Variety of drinks! Teh O ais, teh tarik, teh O limau panas, teh ais, teh halia. That's only in the tea category, we got kopi O, kopi susu, neslo (nescafe + milo), milo ais, milo dinosaur . . . JUICE? we have lychee, longan, starfruit, pineapple, orange, apple, green apple, carrot, avocado, etc22 and even lemongrass juice! *I know, that one sounds err. . . not really interesting I'd say* Then, we have the special locals namely sirap. :3 Again, Malaysians are creative with their drinks. The syrup itself has variations. . Sirap limau, sirap selasih, sirap cincau, sirap bandung soda, sirap cincau. . . howaarrrhh~ *thirsty >,<* But like seriously, they're all super awesome and alcohol-free! :D And so everyone can enjoy em and have as much thrill in tasting each of em. Bahah. In Canada, it'll always be either the caffeinated drinks or juice or skyjuice or alcohol-ed drinks. And so that leaves me with 3 choices (minus the alcohols). It's also hard to find chrysanthemum tea here. *I MISS TEH BUNGAAAAA!!! >O< * The only way for you to get em is to go to Chinese sundry shops. Haha.
2. FOOD! I bet everyone agrees with this. Even my Chinese friends miss the real Malaysian cuisine back at home. Although they sometimes serve Malaysian food here, they're nowhere near the awesomeness of the real food in Malaysia. And never will be! Bahahah. I bet if I open a Malaysian restaurant here, I'd be famously rich! *It'll be flooded with Malaysian students* lol. xD But I need to learn how to cook handsomely from me grandma first though. =w= Nasi lemak! Oh how I miss youuuu!>,< *Padahal, dulu22 kalau tanya ada apa kat Mamak. And dia offer order nasi lemak, baru nak jejak kaki je, kaki dah corner buat U-turn keluar kedai. LOL! *
3. Giant shopping malls! Even my CPU lecturer said the shopping malls in KL are ginormous! hahaha. xD Can't argue that. He even got lost in Sunway Pyramid and it took him a while to get to the carpark. Here, the shopping malls are fun, but you can't really find everything in one place like you usually do in Malaysia. Also, in Malaysia, you'll always find that there'll be entertainment sections as well (bowling, arcade, cinema, karaoke, archery, paintball, laser tag, etc) all in one complex! Here, there are a few, mainly the cinema and the arcade, and that's pretty much it. You'll be out of options in no time. Basically you gotta scavenge around the city to get to finish your checklist.
4. Wear anything you want despite the weather you're in. No need to be bothered with the coats, scarfs, gloves, or even the change in season, whether you're updated with the latest season's trends etc. Huhu. Also, there's no hesitance in taking a shower. Hee. . . x3 Don't ask about mandi here. *Sensitive issue. I'm in an adapting mode here. Need to understand that* Here, with all the coldness, and sometimes cause your skin to be dry. It requires double triple the effort in skincare. *Huu. . . Me once flawless skin is now destroyed!* TT__TT Also, you don't need to invest in buying Bodyshop's body butters and Vaseline to ensure your skin has enough moisture. I'd have to say I'm glad that I chose Vancouver coz its weather is not that dry compared to let's say. . Edmonton for example. Hoho. But still, those creams I mentioned are a must unless you don't mind having itchy and scaly skin. You'll turn into a reptile in no time. LOL!xD
So roughly, there ya go. . A shortlist made by moi to highlight some of the things I love about Canada and Malaysia. . . ^w^
CONCLUSION:

Wait22, if it's raining gold in Canada, then what about in the US? -IT'S RAINING MEN!! ASTAGHFIRULLAHAL A'ZIM~ *geleng22 kepala* LOL. Sorry for the bengong randomness tonight. . .
