What's happening to our education today?? :O

Education and Learning? Is there any difference between them? -YES and NO.

The world nowadays is becoming consumeristic day by day. It is because society is too busy being a consumer today, it undermines their thinking and perception towards education.

Education:
1. The act or process of educating or getting educated.
2. The knowledge or skill obtained or developed by a learning process.
3. A program of instruction of a specified kind or level.
4. The field of study that is concerned with the pedagogy of teaching and learning.
5. An instructive or enlightening experience.

Recently, there are people demanding free education to be given to all. The argument does not seem valid since education is actually being subsidized by the Government from primary school to secondary school. It's just that people need to work harder to get sponsorship/ scholarship from certain organizations and the Government. Why? It's because it's the only way to distinguish those who really want it and deserve it compared to those who take things for granted.

". . .where every person is issued with a Birth Certificate, getting a Birth Certificate can't count as an achievement. Winning a "competition" whose outcome is simply a matter of chance cannot be an achievement, but winning a competition which involves some skill or effort is an achievement." -Morrow, 36
So in a way, making tertiary education a bit exclusive from the schooling level is a way to maintain the quality of the certificates. If everyone wants it for the sake of getting a good job (to achieve personal goal)
- not for the sake of the love of knowledge itself- the country will end up having no one wanting to listen to each other just because each person feels that they are intellectual people, brilliant enough to have their opinions accepted. And at the end, NO ONE LISTENS.

These are the definitions that you can find from Google and online dictionaries. But really, how does one actually evaluate his or her level of knowledge? Is it only through education system (exams, quizzes, tests, assignments, etc)? Or is it that it is set by society that the only way to know one's intelligence is by looking at his or her certificates (degree, masters, PHD).

. . . . . .

Can education be bought and sold?

Should it be earned?

How do we define our achievements?

Does this influence the credibility of education itself?

How serious are the students nowadays in pursuing their education?

What is the value of education?

What happens to the exclusivity of education? - Everyone has the right to receive education. But in this context, we are discussing on tertiary education. Is everyone entitled for that?

Why must there be competition and why must we have the very same degree everyone else is having?

If it's true that education is for all, then why is it that university fees are expensive??

If everyone has a degree, what is the point of valuing the degree then?

We are buying our education in fact. Instead of really wanting the knowledge itself, we want to have that degree just so that we can get a better pay, a better job etc. All for this shallow world. And after all these questionings etc, I figured something that really makes us different from others, which is our perception towards knowledge taught by our religion. To have the knowledge to be used for others' benefits and for the sake of the Hereafter really beats the other purpose of what other people are aftering. Really, it's an honour to have this realization. Let's just hope that the people of the world realize this sooner or later coz we don't really have much time left.

my life suckssss! ! ! !

Before I start, you might wanna watch this video by NigaHiga. . .

HAHAHAHA! LOL! Lawak kan? But can you see the meaning of the vids? ?

The other day, I was on my way to my apartment from KTM Subang. It was raining Tom and Jerry that time. (bawah sket dari raining cats and dogs) HEHEH! Then to my surprise, I saw an old couple holding hands nak ke KTM. It was quite a blur view, but then bila dah dekat, OMG! Both of them are blind!! :O And I was like " How to hell they are going to cross these busy road on such a rainy day? ? I dunno what got into me that day but at first I tak nak tolong sebab na cepat - cepat balik apartment. (Y U so evil that day???) But then I ran back and helped them to cross the road.

After that, I continue my journey to the bus stop, waiting for Rapid bus (T523) to USJ 1. It was still raining but dah kureng sket la. Then there was a Western foreigner came towards me. She tried to say something but macam susah nak kluo. me monolog dalaman, "Ai, bisu ke minah ni??" And turns out she was indeed bisu AND also pekak! Subhanallah. Bersalahnya aku. . . :( She repeated the word, P. . UD... U..... PU....D... U..... PUDU..... Luckily I agak arif la tentang public transportation ni. But there is no bus to PUDU at that area. What she did was took the bus to KL Sentral first. And I really there, someone will help her pulak.

I dunno bout you but I don't really think that me having these 2 incidents yang interval tak sampai 10 minit pon is kebetulan. I really think that Lord sengaja to remind to be thankful of what I had. For the past 3 weeks, I kinda complain to myself bout having trouble to mingle with the new classmates, lonely sebab kawan semua dah pindah apartment laen, tension sebab swimming ta fix fix lagi and memacam lagi la.

But during that incidents, I kep silent until I reached my apartment. One sebab memang sorang pon kan? HAHA and second sebab malu with my self yang tak tahu nak bersyukur. I can see perfectly (my eyesight is perfect fyi) and speak and listen perfectly. Even tu pon I still complain about my life.

Not me je kan? I think you all pon sometimes complain about your life. Too many homeworks, too little sleep, too fat, too skinny and banyak lagi la TOO. What we don't realize is that this is only His test, and trust me, good things will come afterwards. Try to be optimist okay? That's what I try to say to myself.

What should we do is, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be thankful for ur life. (orang kat Plaestin tu hidup mati pon tak tentu). and second, dah tahu ada kelemahan tu, apa lagi, GO FIX IT LA!!!!  And yes I know we are not perfect, but if you try to aim for it, your weakness will start to fade away. Arasso???

Sampai di sini sahaja. I hope readers can get something from this. So am I. Be optimist okay?? HAHA bye salam.

Is It Okay to say I'm Tired? :'(

Somehow this time, I don't feel like expressing myself about the things I'm facing so far with any individuals. But here I am writing the words out in this blog post of what that's going on in me head. . . Simply, coz I feel most people can relate themselves to this kind of situation. So yeah, I feel like sharing.

Frankly, I think my body is suffering as much as my mind is to keep up with every week's assignments and stuff like non-stop. Though people might think in universities, the profs don't really care whether or not you submit those assignments, but trust me, you don't wanna lose your marks for free. So basically yeah, it's a MUST to check the university online blackboard website everyday, a MUST to check your e-mail everyday, a MUST to read the pre-readings before every lecture, a MUST to do the prelabs and the lab quizzes before the real labs, a MUST to check your Facebook everyday, a MUST to get enough sleep and food everyday.

mine is ALLAH, how about you?

Have you guys watched Life of Pi yet? God it's an awesome movie, and novel too!! But if you guys notice, the movie doesn't only highlight awesome use of CGI and Richard Parker je, but the meaning of the story, falsafah of the story that makes feel really attached to movie. Which is to seek for THE RIGHT ONE (not awek okay, tuhan! adoyai awek je kau ingat)

What I like bout Life of Pi is the idea of showing a guy embracing 3 religions at the same time!! YES, 3! (Islam, Christian and Hindu). After he went to the temple, he went to perform solat and suddenly said that he wanted to be baptized! HAHA. What surprises me is that his family doesn't seem to disagree with what he's doing. P/S: his dad is an atheist btw. To some it might be too sensitive to discuss let alone to be made into a movie kan? But I really salute the effort made by the hero to find the REAL ONE.

I'm a Science student =o=

Cool rocks. #EarthSciencesBuilding #Lab

SCIENCE22. . . Haven't touched my Art stuff for ages. . . *Sigh*

A Teacher Creates Devils and Angels

Before sekolah nak start ni, saya ada gak la mengajar jiran sebelah ni Add Math. Okay la takde karat sgt sebab 70% tu saya ada belajar kat A- Level. Okay la budak tu just need more interest in Math. But the point is, I baru sedar yang cikgu ni punya responsible nak tentukan muridnya jadi saintis ke penagih dadah nanti. And in Malaysia, syukurlah kerajaan kita sangat menitik beratkan pendidikan. Sekolah awam yang bersepah, buku teks free, pelan pendidikan baru, sistem sekolah berprestasi tinggi and more.

This is totally different with some other countries. In Pakistan, women cannot get an education for so called 'religious' reasons. In the US, there is no free education at all. That's why you see in movies parents work hard to send their children to state college yg tak seberapa tu. Kat Palestin ta pyah cakap la. Kecik-kecik da pegang senapang. Now you know why kita patut bersyukur gilaaa???
